Ethylene
Product Features
Ethylene is a colorless organic gaseous compound with boiling point of -104°C. Currently, approximately 150 million tons are being manufactured annually throughout the world. As an organic compound with double binding between carbons, it occupies important position in chemical uses and applications.
Product Applications
More than 50% of ethylene is used for manufacturing of polyethylene and ethylene copolymers. Other highly important and diversified raw compounds (ethylene oxide, polyester, vinyl polychloride and styrene, etc.) for the chemical industry are supplied through various chemical reactions.
Propylene
Product Features
Propylene obtained as a by-product of oil refinery and natural gas refinery processes is the second important organic compounds in the petrochemical industry, next to ethylene. Similar to ethylene, it is a colorless gas with slight gasoline odor.
Product Applications
2/3 of propylene is used in manufacturing polypropylene for manufacturing of film, fiber, container and packaging materials as the final products.
Butadiene
Product Features
It refers to chain-shaped hydrocarbon with dual binding. Although there are 2 isomers, it generally refers to 1,3-butadiene. It is a colorless and odorless flammable gas and has the characteristic of not dissolving in water.
Product Applications
It occupies important position as the raw material for manufacturing of synthetic rubber. It is the raw material for manufacturing of SBR (butadiene styrene rubber), NBR (butadiene acrylonitrile rubber) and polybutadiene, etc. necessary for manufacturing of rubber products that we can easily encounter in our daily lives.
