MX Plant
MX Plant began operation along with the launching of HD Hyundai Chemical.
MX Plant established on a land with area of 100,000m2 with elevation of 100m with full view of Daesan Plant is equipped
with crude oil refinery facility with 170,000 B/D and blended xylene manufacturing facility.
We are operating the Plant with foremost priority placed on safety by thoroughly complying with environment related
regulations on the foundation onf our integrated environment management system.
Condensate Splitter Unit (CSU)
It is a process of separating various petroleum products in accordance with the differences in the boiling points of crude oil and is used to manufacture products in the order of LPG, naphtha, kerosene, diesel and heavy oil, etc. It is also referred to as CSU since condensate is used as the main raw material.
Naphtha Reforming Unit (PLT)
It is the process of manufacturing reformed naphtha to be used as the raw material for BTX process by converting paraffin / naphthene of medium quality naphtha into aromatic product through reformation reaction. It includes continuous catalyst regeneration process and hydrogen purification process.
Benzene, Toluene, Xylene Unit (BTX)
It is a process of manufacturing aromatic products through distillation and catalyst reactions with the use of reformed naphtha, toluene and medium quality aromatic products manufactured in the naphtha reformation process as the raw materials.
Desulfurization Unit
It is a process of removing sulfur in order to satisfy the standards for each product in order to commercialize the manufactured products such as LPG, diesel and aviation fuel, etc. It is composed of hydrogen addition or MEROX process in accordance with the given product.
